TRUE BUGS

DID YOU KNOW?

Many of the species of true bugs share a sucking mouth part.

The Sycamore Assassin Bug (shown below) uses its multi-segmented beak to stab and inject poison its prey. The poisonous saliva breaks down its prey’s tissue into a liquid meal that the assassin bug can suck up through its tube. Insect smoothie.
