If you are interested in learning about macro photography and live near Boston, I will be teaching a workshop August 24, 2019 at the Griffin Museum of Photography, located at 67 Shore Road in Winchester.
The workshop will focus on the techniques and challenges of macro photography and include a lecture and outdoor practice. The workshop will run from 10-2pm with a short break in the middle.
Topics will include: equipment review, composition, lighting, field work, & post-processing. After shooting, we will return to the classroom for review. This workshop is geared to photographers who understand the basics of shutter speed, aperture, ISO and shooting in manual or aperture priority mode. A tripod is recommended. Flash is also recommended – artificial lighting will be covered.
Patio Life is also exhibiting at the Griffin Gallery at WinCAM, located at 32 Swanton Street in Winchester.
The exhibit features over 20 large format reproductions of insects, the Patio Life book, a 4 x 6 foot map and identification guide of where over 60 insects were photographed in the back yard.
If you plant it – they will come!
Kids are welcome!
