I don’t know what spirit animal is but this is the seventh time a hawk has graced me with his presence. Three times the hawk has landed on the roof, one time in a tree in the backyard, twice on a telephone pole in front and once on the side yard to get his lunch (capture here). Usually, when a hawk is present, all the other back yard birds go into a fit of noise and commotion indicating a hawk is nearby. Or in this case, directly above staring at me.

Patio Life will be exhibiting at the Griffin Museum of Photography’s new satellite gallery at WinCAM (Winchester Community Access and Media) in their first photography exhibit. Patio life will run June 13 – Sept. 17. Kids are welcome!
The exhibit will feature over 20 large format reproductions of insects, Patio Life book, 4 x 6 foot location map and identification guide of over 60 insects photographed in the back yard.
If you plant it – they will come!
